National

In 2011, All Kids Alliance was recognized by the (then) Strive Network as a “Cradle to Career Community.”

In the StriveTogether Network formed more recently, All Kids Alliance is considered a metropolitan “intermediary” organization that is building and supporting collective impact, cradle-to-career partnerships across Greater Houston. Our goal is to have these partnerships develop operational rigor and sustainability so that they can earn membership in the StriveTogether Network.

In addition to this local work, All Kids Alliance has provided informal consultation about building collective impact civic infrastructure, using the StriveTogether framework, for Atlanta, Georgia; Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota; Monterrey, California and Tyler and El Paso, Texas.

State

Since our beginning as the Greater Houston P-16+ Council, we have participated in the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board P-16 Network (Division of P-16 Initiatives).  Financial support from the Coordinating Board during 2006-2009 enabled us to hire our initial staff and amplify the state’s “P-16” approach with principles and practices from the Strive Partnership in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky.

We currently participate in the Texas Collective Impact Network, whose partners include Commit! (Dallas), E3 Alliance (Austin), P16+ Council of Greater Bexar County (San Antonio), Panhandle Twenty/20 (Amarillo), and RGV Focus (McAllen). The Texas Collective Impact Network is convened by Educate Texas which is recognized by the StriveTogether Network as a statewide intermediary.
